Tarifa is a town full of light and possibilities for its visitors. Tradition and modernity can be equally found in Tarifa, where the traveller will enjoy the sea and the mountains in one of the most beautiful corners of Andalusia. The landscape of Tarifa will surprise you as well as the fine and white sand of the beaches of the natural park El Estrecho. The natural park Los Alcornocales will also surprise the visitor with its abundant vegetation and its narrow valleys.

Tarifa is a priviledged place with wonderful beaches and coves, a perfect place to practice sea sports enjoying the wind and the waves.

Tarifa is the centre of kitesurf, our beaches are a world reference to practice this sport. 

In the Strait of Gibraltar you will be able to watch cetaceans. In this waters, seven species of these sea creatures can be seen and observation visits can be arranged.

The Castle of Gúzman el Bueno is a symbolic monument of Tarifa. It is situated in an elevation of terrain in front of the sea. This castle is the start point of the wall that surrounds Tarifa. 

The old Roman city of Baelo Claudia is in the town of Bolonia, 22 kilometres northeast of Tarifa. This archaeological site has a Museum since 2007.

Excursions to Tangier. There are excursions to Tangier from Mesón de Sancho Hotel. A bus will leave the hotel in the mornings to Tarifa and from there to Tangier. At the end of the excursion, you will be taken to the hotel by bus again. The excursion includes the bus transfers, the journey and lunch).
